Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) is a world leading marine contractor in the offshore oil and gas industry. HMC transports, installs and removes all types of offshore facilities. These include fixed structures, complex infrastructures and floating facilities, in shallow water, deepwater and ultra deepwater. HMC's services encompass overall management of the above, including management of subcontractors, all logistics, planning, engineering and work preparation.
HMC projects include the continuous improvement of concepts for deepwater and ultra deepwater field developments, for which compliant towers, tension leg platforms (TLPs) and spars will be required, as well as innovative solutions for sub sea construction of infield pipelines and export lines.
HMC owns and operates three construction vessels, each with its own features and capabilities: Deepwater Construction Vessel (DCV) and Semi-Submersible Crane Vessels (SSCV's). HMC also owns seven cargo (launch) barges, two high bollard pull multi purpose tugs, (deepwater) pile handling equipment and hammer spread and an extensive pool of ancillary equipment to support HMC's operations.
