Brussels, Belgium. Started his career as a Maintenance Manager for ICI on Teeside after graduating in Engineering, Manufacture and Management at Manchester University. He progressed through a variety of manufacturing improvement roles before becoming a Project Manager with ICI Engineering. In this role he spent four years managing plant construction projects in Malaysia, Singapore and Shanghai, PRC. He moved to Gouda, NL in 1997 to develop the Manufacturing IT project portfolio for Unichema, part of the ICI group, and moved to Brussels in 1998 to take up a position as European Regional IT Manager for ICI Specialties. Since 2001 Steve has been working as an independent Consultant, and as a partner in team-building and team-working specialists McCourts Project. Since January 2003 Steve has been Project Director for the European Institute for Industrial Leadership project, and is director for the High Performance Leadership module on the EIIL's Masters of Industrial Leadership programme. In 1990 he moved to the steel industry within a mechanical engineering consultancy, also in Luxembourg, developing a condition monitoring system before setting up as an independent consultant. Andy Webb, CEng, Fellow, has nearly thirty years background in industrial gases. He is employed by Air Products and is currently involved in Packaged Gases, (gas cylinders) activity outside of Europe. He has been active in the Institution's activities in Belgium since the inception of the Ad Hoc Committee and his previous activities included UK Schools liaison. He started his career in the UK with Goodyear holding positions as Senior Engineer Passenger Tyre Development, Principal Engineer Farm Tyre Development, Production Specialist Truck Tyres, Chief Engineer Tyre Development and finally Six-Sigma Black Belt. In 2003 he moved to Luxembourg to work in the Goodyear Regional Technical Centre to provide support to production facilities with relation to process issues, new technology and waste reduction as a Process Engineer. Colin Anderson, CEng, Member, started work in the field of noise and vibration engineering at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars following graduation from Imperial College, London. He has since worked for several UK companies in the same field, including The Motor Industry Research Association, Jaguar Cars (specialising in wind-noise), and Federal Mogul Technology. In 2005, Colin moved to Ingolstadt in southern Germany, to work for a small NVH consultancy company. At the beginning of 2006, he moved to Brussels to live with his girlfriend and is currently employed at Leuven Measurement Systems International, working in their Engineering Services Group. Alan graduated in 1981 from Southampton University. In 1981, after graduating in Mechanical Engineering, Alan joined SBM Imodoc as a trainee (design, programming and R&D). 4 years later he joined Brown and Root Construction as a Design Engineer/Project Engineer (pipeline design and project engineering/field engineering). 2 years later (1986) He joined newly-starting Allseas as a Senior Project Engineer (project management, subcontractor control, field engineering, offshore representative and assignments to commercial department for proposals). In more recent years with Allseas he has been operating as Senior QHSE Engineer (management systems for ISO9001 & ISO14001 & ISM, project support, tender support, HAZIDs, fatality investigation, legislation, audit lead both onshore and offshore, structured coaching, liaison with authoriies, vessel support). Last year he moved to newly-starting Subsea 7 in Rotterdam as Lead in HSEQ. |
