Welcome to the Benelux Branch

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is based in the United Kingdom but reaches worldwide with its Vision;

"To create the natural professional home for all involved in Mechanical Engineering."

The membership of the IMechE exceeds 73 000 engineers, of whom about 15% live and work overseas. In the Benelux region there are approximately 300 members, actively participating in the business and social life of the Benelux in a wide variety of industries and occupations.

The Branch Committee, elected at the Branch Annual General Meeting, comprises members resident in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The Benelux Branch aims to progress the IMechE's vision by maintaining contact with its members and organising local activities such as lectures, technical visits and social events. It represents the IMechE with regional engineering institutions, educational organisations and provides important liaison for the Institution's London headquarters with the European Commission in Brussels.

We welcome all IMechE members, guests and other interested persons at our forthcoming events, and hope that many members will be able to attend these entertaining events.
